Why Yerevan?

Founded in 782 BC, Yerevan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Welcome to Historic Yerevan

Founded in 782 BC, Yerevan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its streets, built of rose-coloured tufa stone, glow warmly in the sun and tell stories that span millennia. From the Republic Square and Cascade Complex to the Erebuni Fortress and Matenadaran Manuscript Museum, history is everywhere — beautifully preserved and proudly shared.

The city’s blend of ancient heritage and 20th-century architecture gives Yerevan its unmistakable charm — a place where cobblestone alleys meet Soviet boulevards, and where the silhouette of Mount Ararat dominates every skyline view.

Welcome to Contemporary Yerevan

Today’s Yerevan is a vibrant capital alive with creativity, colour, and youth. Students fill its universities and cafés; art galleries, jazz clubs, and street festivals thrive alongside traditional teahouses and open-air markets. The city offers all the comforts of modern urban life — safe, walkable streets, affordable living, and a warm, welcoming community.

Cafés, restaurants, and co-working spaces across the city make it easy for visiting students to feel at home while practising their Russian or Armenian in everyday settings.

Language Link in Yerevan

Language Link is proud to announce the launch of its third centre dedicated to Russian language and culture — right in the heart of Yerevan.

Housed within the educational complex of the French University in Armenia (UFAR) and the European University of Armenia (EUA), our new facility offers modern, spacious classrooms and a dynamic academic setting. Both institutions are long-standing partners in European higher education and contribute to the intellectually stimulating atmosphere surrounding our programmes.

Taught by highly qualified native Russian-speaking instructors with university credentials, Language Link courses in Yerevan provide an immersive and academically rigorous learning experience. Students enjoy both structured classroom study and opportunities for authentic language practice in daily life — all within a friendly and supportive community of fellow students and academic staff.

Discover Armenia

Beyond the classroom, students can explore Armenia’s extraordinary natural beauty: the serene waters of Lake Sevan, the monasteries of Geghard and Tatev, the dramatic Garni Gorge, and the high-altitude hiking trails of Dilijan National Park. Armenia’s compact geography makes weekend travel easy and rewarding.
